Junior Knights have a Banner Season

The Minor Atom AAA team coached by Dave Warren finished the regular season in first place and defeated Cambridge in the finals to win the Alliance AAA Championship. The Minor Atom AA Gold team coached by Darrell Elver, also finished first in the regular season and then defeated the second place London Green Team in the playoff finals to win the Alliance AA Championship.

The Major Atom AAA team coached by Don Ashman, finished the regular season in first place and then defeated Elgin in the finals to win the Alliance AAA Championship. The AAA team is the host of this year’s OHF Championships being held on April 13-15 at Western Fair. Elgin will also participate in the tournament. The Major Atom AA Green team coached by Steve Check, also finished first in the regular season and then defeated the second place London Gold Team to win the Alliance AA Championship. The Team will head to Aurora for the OHF Championships on April 13-15.

The Minor Peewee AAA team coached by Dave Robinson defeated Windsor in the finals to win the Alliance AAA League Playdown Championship. The Minor Peewee AA Gold team coached by Mike Weaver, finished first in the regular season and then defeated Brantford in the finals to win the Alliance AA Championship.

The Major Peewee AA Gold team coached by Paul Schepens finished second in the regular season to the London Green team but went on defeat the Green Team in the playoff finals to win the Alliance AA Championship. The Team will head to the GTHL North Toronto for the OHF Championships on April 13-15.

The Minor Bantam AAA team coached by Jim Sandlak finished the regular season in first place and defeated Brantford in the playoff finals to win the Alliance AAA Championship. The Minor Bantam AA Gold team coached by Ben Lawton, also finished first in the regular season and then defeated the second place London Green Team in the playoff finals to win the Alliance AA Championship

At Major Bantam, Sarnia defeated the Major Bantam AA Green team coached by Mario Schembri in the playoff finals. Sarnia who won the Alliance AA Championship is the Host team for the OHF Championships. The Bantam team will head to Sarnia for a rematch in the OHF Championships on April 13-15

The Minor Midget AAA team coached by John Calderozzi finished the regular season in first place but were defeated in the semi finals to the eventual Alliance Champions Cambridge Hawks. The team earned a berth to the OHL Cup and made it to the Cup quarter finals. The Minor Midget AA team coached by Jim Wimperis, also finished first in the regular season and then defeated Hamilton in the playoff finals to win the Alliance AA Championship.

At Major Midget, Waterloo defeated the first place Midget AAA team coached by Chuck Dufton in the playoff finals. Waterloo who won the Alliance AAA Championship is the Host team for the OHF Championships. The Midget team will head to Waterloo for a rematch in the Telus Cup held April 2-8
