Junior Knights to hold Spring Tryouts for AAA teams

The Junior Knights reviewed a number of issues surrounding spring tryouts and have developed a format which will be assessed over a 2 year period. Spring tryouts will be conducted under the following format:

AAA Coaches, at their discretion, can select their entire roster in the spring or select a minimum of 14 players and then finalize their team in August. The coach may choose to select a reduced roster in order to allow players the opportunity to develop over the course of the summer or allow players who relocate to London an opportunity to tryout for the AAA team.

If a coach elects not to fill his entire roster, (16 players for Minor Atom to Atom; 17 players Minor PeeWee to Bantam; 19 players for Minor Midget), the remaining players will be added to the roster from the AA tryouts in August.

All AAA teams, whether selected in full or not, will not be allowed to participate in spring hockey tournaments, practice, and/or fundraise as a team as per policy.
