JEFF BORROWS - Sir Wilfred Laurier University OUA
Jeff played most of his minor hockey career with the Junior Knights, graduating to the Western Ontario Jr. B league as a 15 year old, where he progressed steadily, leading the league in scoring with the Strathroy Rockets in his final season. Jeff has moved on and now is a regular in the line up of the Golden Hawks of Sir Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo.

After completeing his career in the OHL Mike returned to school and helped the University of Western Ontario Mustangs win the 2002 Canadian Mens Intercollegiate Hockey Championship.

JEFF CARTER - Soo Greyhounds OHL
A London native, Jeff played in his younger days for London Rep Hockey and later played for the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs. After a year in Junior "B" as a fifteen year old, Jeff was drafted by the Soo Greyhounds third overall into the OHL. He was drafted in the first round of the NHL entry draft 11th overall in June 2003 by the Philadelphia Flyers and was selected to attend Team Canada's Junior camp in December 2003. He was the Captain of the Soo Greyhounds, played two seasons on Canada's U20 team winning Silver and Gold medals. In 2005/06 Jeff became a regular on the Philadelphia Flyers.

DREW DOUGHTY - Guelph Storm OHL
Drew played for the OHL Showcase Silver Medal winning Minor Midget AAA team as a 15 year old and was drafted 5th overall by the Guelph Storm in 2005. Played for the Ontario U17 team at the world U17 Championship in Regina. Drew played on Canada's Under 18 team in 2007 and is expected to suit up as an 18 year old on our National Junior Team in the Czech Republic. He is a projected first round draft pick for the 2008 NHL Draft.

ROBERT DRUMMOND - LONDON KNIGHTS OHL
Robbie gets to play at home in the OHL in the new John Labatt Centre! He has split his time between the Knights and the Junior "B" Nationals, but as the season moves on he is playing more with the Knights. He scored his first goal in mid November and has added some assists. Memorial Cup Champion with the London Knights 2005.

Goalie with our 1987 Minor Midget AAA team, Kyle was drafted in the fourth round of the 2003 Midget draft. The 79th pick overall and the second goaltender taken in the draft. In January of 2004 he was a member of the Gold Medal winning Ontario Under 17 team at the World Championships held in St. John's NFLD.

John is a special alumnus of our program, in that he was successful in following up his minor hockey career by being drafted into the OHL by the Oshawa Generals. But an even greater accomplishment was that while enduring the 68 game schedule in the OHL, he successfully completed his undergradute degree at the University of Toronto. A terrific role model for all those players in our association!

JEFF LUCKOVITCH - SAGINAW SPIRIT OHL
Jeff is a solid defenceman who played in Junior B after being drafted in the fifth round of the OHL priority draft in 2000 by the Sarnia Sting. Jeff was traded to the Saginaw Spirit (formerly the North Bay Centennials) after having been a regular on the Sting defence for the past two seasons.

MARC MANCARI - OTTAWA 67'S OHL
Marc was born July 11, 1985. With the exception of one season, he played all his minor hockey for the London Junior Knights right from the age of eight. He played AAA all the way through his career with the Junior Knights and played Junior B as a 15 year old for the St. Mary's Lincolns.
He was drafted in the second round (34th overall) of the OHL priority draft in June 2001 and split the 2001/2002 season between Ottawa and Nepean of the Ottawa Valley Junior B league.
Played for Ottawa in the 2005 Memorial Cup. Drafted by Buffalo in 2005 NHl draft. Currently playing for the Rochester Americans (AHL).

MATT NICHOLSON - Colgate NCAA
Matt is the son of former London Knight and Washington Capital player Paul Nicholson, still involved in our program, as one of our coaching mentors.
Matt was born December 9, 1981 and started playing house league hockey in North London. He began playing AAA hckey as a nine year old for the London Rebels (that's what we were called before our affiliation with the London Knights). He played with us all the way up through Midget and then split three years in Junior B evenly between the London Nationals and the Strathroy Rockets.
Matt received a scholarship out of Junior B and now plays for Colgate in the NCAA while majoring in education.

"Prusty' played Bantam and Midget AA for the Junior Knights and in a year and a bit in Junior "B" really impressed the Knights coaching staff who signed him as a free agent. Brandon has carved a niche for himself in the "O" as a tenacious forchecker, goal scorer and enforcer. In short a coaches' dream. He is a great example of what a player can accomplish when he wants it bad enough. Drafted third round 2004 by the Calgary Flames.

BRYAN RODNEY - London Knights OHL
Bryan Rodney is a solid two way defenseman. At 6'0" and 190 lbs. he is a presence on defense, as #74 for the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League.
Bryan was born in London on April 22, 1984. He came up through minor hockey the way most promising young players do. He started at the age of five in the Red Circle Hockey Association, famous for another notable graduate, Eric Lindros. At the age of seven he joined our program at the Novice AAA Level. We were called the "Rebels" back then.
Bryan played with the Junior Knights right through to Minor Bantam AAA. Following the 1998/99 season, Bryan attracted Junior B scouts and opted to play for the St. Mary's Lincolns at age 15. While in St Mary's for the one season, he was voted to the all rookie team and was named most valuable rookie defenseman.
He was drafted in the first round of the OHL priority draft by the Ottawa 67's at age 16 and played for the 67's in the Memorial Cup in his first season.
In early 2002 Bryan requested a trade and was dealt to the Kingston Frontenacs, where he regularly logs 25-30 minutes a game as a stalwart on the Frontenacs blueline.
Bryan suffered an illness mid-season 2001/2002, has now recovered and is having a great season with Kingston in 2002/2003. As the anchor on the Frontenacs defence. Bryan is eligible for the NHL Draft in 2003. He was traded to the London Knights on September 21, 2004.

ALISON RUTLEDGE - Niagara University NCAA
Alison Rutledge is originally a product of the West London Optimists Minor Hockey program. A goaltender, Alison always played boys hockey and played in our program for four years, culminating in Bantam AA, where she helped backstop the team to the Alliance championship and an OHF Silver Medal. After Bantam, Alison was signed by the Junior Mustangs, the elite junior program run by the London Devillettes. Finishing her second season with the Junior 'Stangs, Alison was awarded a full hockey scholarship to Niagara University.

Katie is another one of many young females who began their minor hockey career playing with the boys, specifically the Junior Knights. Katie played with us until Pee Wee at which time she moved into the Devillettes . She graduated from the program to play for the University of Maine on a full ride scholarship.

Justin played for the Wellington Dukes of the Tier Two Jr. A league and was a regular call up as a 16 year old to the Frontenacs. Justin was traded to the London Knights in the 2006/07 season and was drafted in the sixth round by the Washington Capitals in the 2007 NHL Draft.

Drafted by Sarnia in 11th round 2001. In January 2003 transferred to the Tier II Junior A Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Signed with the London Knights in 2004 and played his first game in the OHL on September 26, 2004 versus the Kitchener Rangers. Memorial Cup Champion 2005. Traded to the Oshawa generals for the 05/06 season (overage year).
